The Wills Lane Gallery in St. Ives, Cornwall brings a breath of the West End to the South West. Artists and designers of national and international significance are exhibited alongside new talent. The gallery's exhibition changes as works are sold and new works come in, and from time to time there are solo exhibitions. Artists selected by the gallery who have received national recognition include Ismini Samanidou, whose textiles won her a place in the Jerwood Contemporary Makers 2009. Petronilla Silver, former Director of the Contemporary Art Society, London, runs the gallery and mounts exhibitions by her chosen artists. For years an influential figure in the London art world and a respected expert on collecting, she advised museums and major corporations on their acquisition policy, She is now available to advise private individuals on art collecting. |
